Kam aur Zyaada is another reality show in Subhash Chandra's Armour which promises a prize money of 3 Crores. Business Baazigar, another reality game show is going to be launched soon. So where Indian television is heading. With all the cutthroat competition, viewers will have a tough time in choosing between them. No doubt, sms will be a integral part of the show and people at Zee have already started discussions with Hutch, Airtel and Tata Indicom for a deal.
The big question is that who will anchor the show. If we look for a person who is as charismatic as Bachchan then we can zero it to either Aamir khan or Shahrukh. Any guesses....

| Finalists selected for Fame Gurukul |

Amongst the 14 finalists selected for fame gurukul 6 are from Mumbai. It seems that mumbai has loads of talent in store specially when it comes for film industry.
The Fame Gurukul show is going to start from June 27 and is sloted in 8:30 - 9:00 PM. These 14 finalists are being selected after a gruesome talent hunt held in major cities of India. These candidates will undergo professional training in the field of music. This will not be all but the candidates will also undergo rigorous training in fitness and dance classes. These people will also be groomed for the so called X Factor.
Finally 2 best Jodi will be selected via voting from the public. Every move of the candidates will be captured by the camera. The prizes will be similar to Indian Idol. The winner will get a contract from one of the famous music company and a 1 crore contract from Sony TV. The shortlisted 14 will be trained under watchful eyes of Ila Arun (headmistress), Javed Akhtar, Shankar Mahadevan and Kay Kay Menon.

| Winners of Fame Gurukul(Kolkata) |

The scene of Fame Gurukul audition at Kolkata science city venue was of a complete chaos with aspirants damaging property, lathicharge and what not. However, Sony Entertainment Television was not moved by it and soon announced the 2 winners for the event. These 2 winners will part of the 14 member team who will fight for the top spots at Fame Gurukul.
The 2 winners are Ruprekha Bannerjee and Arijit Singh. Ruprekha Bannerjee is persuing her BSc at Vidyasagar College and has done some playback singing. She sang for Bengali film called Shudhu Bhalobasha. The other winner Arijit is from Murshidabad. He is a second year BA student.
Arijit initially sang a classical number but unfortunately was not selected. However, for his luck the audition was cancelled. When the audition took place the next day he sang Chhaiya chhaiya which got him in. Ruprekha sang Jadoo hai nasha hai which got her selected for one of the most famous musical talent hunt show i.e Fame Gurukul.

Sony had a huge success with Indian Idol. It seems that they are not going to leave the newfound success behind. They are coming with yet another program, which will be called as Fame Gurukul. It will be a reality show where fame jodi will be selected between 14 candidates from 4 cities.
"SET has always delivered its promise of providing viewers with path breaking content." said the exited CEO, SET India Pvt Ltd Kunal Dasgupta.
The illustrious Mandira Bedi and Manav Gohil will present the show to TV viewers. Both are very exited about the project and are working their finest for the program.
14 best candidates will be chosen from 4 metros. These candidates will be educated in various disciplines of music and stage presence. Ila Arun will be head of the operations at Gurukul.
Prashant Samadhar and Padma Wadkar will be the faculty. Others involved in the project are Javed Akhtar, Kay Kay and Shankar Mahadevan. Psychiatrist Anjali Chhabria and dietician Mickey Mehta will also polish the participants.

| Indian Idol >> Fame Gurukul |

After a stupendous success of the TV renowned talent show the "Indian Idol", here comes the next in line "[b]Fame Gurukul[/b]". [u]Fame Gurukul[/u] is based on Operacion Triunfo, the famous Spanish talent search show. [b]Fame Gurukul[/b] is the reality TV drama based on similar concept as Indian Idol.
According to Tarun Katial, the executive vice president and business head for the show announced that Fame Gurukul would be the story of 14 brilliant singers who would endeavor to make their place in the music industry with training in the music academy in song writing and stage performance.
"We have preferred this format in keeping with the Indian tradition of guru-sishya and lined up a galaxy of big names from the entertainment industry to host and judge the show just as in Indian Idol," Katial said.
16 contestants will be selected for the competition held in 4 phases at Delhi, Kolkata, Indore and Mumbai. The contest has been already started from 6th of May. Finally, 14 contestants will be selected and will get an opportunity to enroll in Gurukul. In the Gurukul these contestants will get all sort of training in various disciplines related to music.
The Jury for the Gurukul will consist of Shankar Mahadevan, Javed Akhtar and KK Menon and the head mistress for the gurukul will be Ila Arun. Manav Kohli and Mandira Bedi will host the show.
